The Virginia Beach Valor are back on the road tonight, heading down to Elizabeth City, NC to face the River City Skippers of the Old North State League. After taking the first meeting between the two clubs, the Valor are eyeing another strong outing. First pitch is 7:00 PM at Knobbs Creek Park.

Valor Hit the Road to Face Morehead City
The Virginia Beach Valor are packing the bus and heading south tonight, taking on the Morehead City Marlins of the Coastal Plain League. First pitch is set for 6:30 PM at Big Rock Stadium on North Carolina's Crystal Coast.
Virginia Beach Valor Rally Late to Down River City Skippers 8-5.
The Virginia Beach Valor stormed back with a six-run ninth inning to beat the River City Skippers 8-5 on Thursday at Knobbs Creek Recreation Center.
Thomas Conrad got the Valor on the board with a first-inning single, but the Skippers answered quickly, taking a 3-2 lead on a two-run double by Christian Coples and an RBI single from Quentin Smith, then tacking on another run in the second.
The Valor flipped the script in the top of the ninth, plating six runs on four hits to surge ahead. The big blow was a two-run, full-count single from Riley Anderson.
Walt Clevenger slammed the door out of the bullpen, tossing three scoreless innings of relief with three strikeouts. Starter Braydon Smith went five innings, allowing four runs and striking out five.
Conrad paced the offense with three RBIs, going 2-for-4, and was one of three Valor batters with multiple hits alongside Colin Kim and Ryan Hummel. The Valor showed patience at the plate, drawing eight walks in the win.

The Virginia Beach Valor is a independent college summer baseball organization based out of Virginia Beach, VA . The Valor is made up of NCAA D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and NJCAA players from the State of Virginia and the Mid Atlantic region of the United States. The Valor plays other college summer league team within the state of Virginia, North Carolina, & South Carolina.
